The
main premise of Fish Tycoon is to breed fish, and to ultimately find the Seven
Magical Fish of Isola (a "hidden and mysterious island"). Apparently
all the rare and wonderful fish of Isola's lagoon are held in balance by the
Seven Magical Fish, but all the fish disappear one day and it is up to you to
get the special seven back so Isola's lagoon can be the lovely place it once
was.Simply
put, the game consists of you mixing the different types of fish to create new
species which you can then breed to create yet newer species (there are over
400 different fish to discover! You don't have to find them all, just the magic
seven). You need to feed your fish at least once daily (the game is in real
time, so even if you set it at half speed you need to open the game at least
once every couple days just to at least feed the fish so they don't die). You
sell fish to make money for supplies and environmental research (which makes it
so the most rare species can survive in your aquariums). You can buy medication
if your fish get sick. You buy decorations for your tanks so customers will be
more likely to come in your shop and buy fish. There are plants and accessories
with healthful benefits you can buy as well.This
game is addictive, but you will need patience as you have to wait for the fish
you bred to give birth, then wait again as the baby fish grow up. Making enough
money to be able to breed fragile fish takes quite a bit of time as well.
